Gitanjali Art Gallery in Panaji

Gitanjali art gallery is one of the oldest and famous art galleries of Goa. It is located in the very heart of Panaji city. Although compared to famous Kala Academy this art gallery is relatively smaller, but the fact that it is located inside a beautiful heritage building makes it a very charming art space. This art gallery is in fact integral part of three famous heritage hotels - Panjim Inn, Pousada and People’s. Amongst these three Panjim Inn doesn’t need any introduction to people of Goa and this art gallery is located bang opposite this very famous heritage hotel.


As for art gallery itself is concerned, it is surely one of the well maintained art galleries of Goa. From time to time it exhibits paintings of local goan artists as well as even international artists. The painting exhibitions that are generally put on display here ranges from contemporary to abstract paintings. Photos of Gitanjali’s exhibitions even regularly make it to prominent newspapers of Goa.
